De laatste zeven jaar heb ik mij gespecialiseerd als bekkenfysiotherapeut, zowel in het ziekenhuis als in de particulierenpraktijk. Met pijn in het bekken\/bekkenbodemgebied en seksualiteit als speerpunten kan ik een goede bijdrage leveren aan het team Bekkenzorg M\u00e1xima, waar ik sinds juni 2016 onderdeel van uitmaak.<\/p>\n<p>Als bekkenfysiotherapeut kijk ik onder meer naar de functie van de bekkenbodemspieren. Een niet goed functionerende spier kan pijn veroorzaken. Leven met pijn in een gebied dat niet zo gemakkelijk bespreekbaar of te begrijpen is, is in veel gevallen moeilijk; pijn kan behoorlijk beperkend werken in het dagelijks handelen. Klachten met veel taboe en schaamte, waar vaak moeilijk over gesproken wordt.<\/p>\n<p>Door middel van een open en aandachtige intake \u2013 waarbij uitleg centraal staat \u2013 breng ik de klacht zo goed mogelijk in beeld.
