U kan te veel of juist te weinig zijn afgevallen. Ook kan er sprake zijn van blijvende problemen, zoals maagzuurklachten. In dat geval kan bekeken worden of een eerdere maagverkleining omgezet kan worden door een nieuwe operatie. Dit wordt redochirurgie, ofwel revisiechirurgie, genoemd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Expertisecentrum revisiechirurgie<\/h3>\n<p>M\u00e1xima MC is expertisecentrum op het gebied van deze revisiechirurgie en ontvangt doorverwijzingen uit het hele land van mensen die complicaties ervaren. M\u00e1xima MC is \u00e9\u00e9n van de weinige ziekenhuizen in Nederland met ervaring in het ongedaan maken van een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmc.nl\/obesitascentrum\/gastric-bypass\/\">gastric bypass<\/a>. Andere revisies komen voor na operaties als de Mason-methode of Scopinaro.<\/p>\n<h3>Wat gebeurt er bij een revisie?<\/h3>\n<p>Bij een revisie wordt de vorige operatie ongedaan gemaakt of wordt de oorspronkelijke ingreep omgevormd. Bijvoorbeeld: er is een maagband geplaatst, maar het effect valt tegen of er zijn blijvende complicaties. De band kan dan verwijderd worden en hiervoor in de plaats kan een gastric bypass worden uitgevoerd.
