Hier bekleedt hij met ingang van dit jaar de leerstoel \u2018knee reconstruction\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De leerstoel is opgericht voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar chirurgie aan de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmc.nl\/orthopedie\/aandoening-en-behandeling\/gescheurde-kruisband\/\">kruisbanden<\/a> en het kraakbeen. Met het verder ontwikkelen van de bestaande operatietechniek kunnen mensen uiteindelijk beter sporten, en lopen zij minder snel opnieuw schade op.<\/p>\n<p>Eerder werd Janssen al benoemd tot lector value based health care aan Fontys Hogescholen. Hij combineert beide wetenschappelijke functies nu met de pati\u00ebntzorg en zijn taken als opleider in M\u00e1xima MC. \u201cIk zie dit als een verlengstuk van mijn werk als orthopedisch chirurg om onze pati\u00ebnten steeds beter te kunnen helpen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kruisbandexpert <\/strong><br \/>\nJanssen is landelijk expert op het gebied van kruisbandreconstructies. Naast volwassenen behandelt hij steeds vaker kinderen met kruisbandletsel. Volgens hem een bijzondere groep: \u201cDe kans op herhaling van een kruisbandruptuur is bij kinderen veel groter dan bij volwassenen. Kinderen zijn daarin kwetsbaarder. Het is daarom belangrijk om te onderzoeken hoe we de behandeling voor hen kunnen optimaliseren.\u201d Ook onderzoekt hij met de TU\/e de inzet van augmented reality bij operaties, om in de toekomst de dosis r\u00f6ntgenstraling bij kinderen te kunnen beperken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Centrum voor kinderorthopedie<br \/>\n<\/strong>De zorg voor kruisbandletsels van M\u00e1xima MC is vorig jaar landelijk erkend op topklinisch niveau. Bovendien is het ziekenhuis een Europees erkend expertisecentrum voor kinderkruisbandletsels. \u201cKinderen vanuit heel Nederland worden hier behandeld.
