Kenmerkend is dat de pijn zich voordoet aan beide zijden van het lichaam.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PMR wordt ook wel spierreuma genoemd. Polymyalgia betekent letterlijk \u2018veel spierpijn\u2019. Rheumatica staat voor \u2018ontstekingen van gewrichten, bindweefsels en spieren\u2019.
